Real Prospects 2011

The Real Prospects Project

Graduates looking for their first job need more than just labour market information, they also need to know how the labour market operates. Unfortunately information about graduate labour market experience is often difficult to find and expensive to collect.

The Real Prospects project aims to plug this information gap by working with employers, universities and graduate employees to explore how previous generations of graduates have succeeded in negotiating the graduate labour market.

The Real Prospects 2011 Survey

Earlier this year HECSU and Graduate Prospects launched an online survey, which asked employed and self-employed graduates to share their experiences of the world of work. We examined how graduates managed the transition from higher education to employment and asked what more universities could do to help students prepare for the world of work.
