Follow the developments of the Futuretrack research projects.
The HECSU-PROP project has assembled an able and committed team, and set in motion a dynamic and fruitful process. The team is, at the same time, alert to the need for adaptive change and mindful of key underlying principles for signposting new directions in this field. The resulting projects promise to be trailblazing examples of what now needs to be done in HE careers work. It is wholly possible that this work will impact development in other sectors concerned with learning for career management as well as for other concerns for contemporary well-being.

PROP is a dynamic forum which enables the cultivation of innovation amongst practitioners in careers and related fields. It provides space, expertise, encouragement and resources to make good things happen! The PROP environment calls for each participant to challenge their own boundaries and practices, in turn aiming to create a momentum of positive action within the careers world.
An alternative for the PROP acronym is Pioneering Real Opportunities for Practice.
Thank you to the funding body, founders and participants.
Aminder Nijjar, University of Leicester.
As a practitioner within a careers field that albeit closely associated with HE isn't the "Careers Service" I find the PROP forum provides me with a window on the profession. This window allows me to see other best practice, to share practitioner challenges and investigate other means of creating innovative solutions to these. The research input is stimulating, interesting, challenging and at times frustrating. Crucial to the work all practitioners do, being able to innovatively interpret and pragmatically apply this fresh thinking to my own practice leaves my head spinning with opportunities that being part of the PROP forum creates.
Helen Wakefield, Graduates into Employment Unit.
The event was very relevant to my own work and presentations were inspiring - all in their own individual way. To have the opportunity to meet some of the most talented career practitioners and researchers in this part of the world is a great privilege and one I will be eternally grateful to you and Graduate Prospects for. I look forward to our next event and in time perhaps to being able to contribute more. My sincerest thanks.
Loretta Jennings, National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
Just a thank you and some feedback about the PROP meeting last week. It was fantastic to meet all the members and have an opportunity to find out about their work. It's a great group with such a vast collective knowledge and expertise in a number of fields - all being used to make HE a more useful and enjoyable experience for students around the country (and abroad in some cases!)
Thanks very much for making me feel so welcome. Hopefully we'll meet again soon.
