Jane Artess: Director of Research

Jane Artess, Director of Research (HECSU)

Jane is responsible for designing, commissioning and managing HECSU's research projects.  She previously worked at Manchester Metropolitan University as a senior learning and teaching fellow. There she had responsibility for teacher education and development in the FE/HE sector following many years working in career guidance and as tutor on the Diploma in Careers Guidance courses.

She is today reporting upon findings from Futuretrack, the HECSU funded study of the career development of the 2006 cohort of entrants to higher education, which is conducted by the Institute of Employment Research at the University of Warwick.

Charlie Ball: Deputy Director of Research

Charlie Ball. HECSU Deputy Director of Research

Charlie runs the labour market research team at HECSU and is responsible for support and research for university careers services across the UK. He is an active researcher on HECSU’s projects on graduate employment and in collaboration with external organisations. He is an expert on the employment destinations of graduates and postgraduates.
